Also our teacher asked us to find out why the Celsius scale starts at zero and Fahrenheit at 32, My doc. Last but not least the names of the people who invented Celsius and Fahrenheit My doc.

Wacky Wednesday

Last Wednesday we had what we called a wacky Wednesday. Groups of kids make games in turn for tokens which were fifty cents.  We raised money for our ski trip.

Pear Deck

Kia ora
We have been using Pear Deck to help us learn more about sentence structure so that we can get better at noticing where one sentence ends and another one begins. This should also help us get better scores for punctuation. This a screenshot of an activity we did: first we had to highlight the noun and verb parts of the sentences and then we had to decide where the full stops and capital letters should go.

Woohoo Term 3!!

Kia Ora
Yes! Term 3 finally, it has already been two terms wow 2018 is going by fast. Oh my gosh I nearly forgot that on the 25th of August Team Moana are going on a ski trip at mount Ruapehu. On the holidays I went to my fathers house in Huntly past Auckland it was fun, the funny thing was that our next door neighbours actually lost their trampoline in a storm. That day my dad said that only one of the legs popped off but a few days later I looked out the window and it was gone it got picked up by the wind and flew up to my fathers room (in the end our neighbours found their tramp). So I hope that term 3 is even better.

The fire brigade cup

Kia Ora
Last week on Thursday we went to Lindvart park to do what we call  the fire brigade cup. It is where we play games like hockey, netball, rugby, soccer I was playing soccer. It was fun but I think it could have gone better.
“Yay” I shouted as we arrived at Lindvart park, today was the Fire Brigade cup where we played games. I personally wanted to play hockey but I had no shin pads or a mouth guard so I ended up playing soccer. I was a little upset but I was OK. The good thing was that is was a good day and the sun was shining. “Ohaeawai vs Okaihau” someone said over the speaker. I asked Mrs B when we were going to play. Her answer was 9:30. We waited until Mrs B said “let’s go Ohaeawai” It all began  quickly. One minute I am walking across the field next thing I know I am defending the goal. I was so nervous. I was shaking. The ball came my way so I whacked it away with my knee. That hurt I told myself but I kept going then the game finished. We had won. My team and I went and played with a ball. Then the teacher said “ Ohaeawai you are versing Kaikohe West.” “My arch rivals,” I mumbled. I hated Kaikohe West because I use to go to that school. They bullied me because of how I looked but I am over them “WE WON THE GAME AGAIN” we all shouted. The teacher said that we made it to the finals. She also said that we were versing Kaikohe West again. I was so happy when we won that game too. In the end I actually enjoyed my day.
